Larson updates…March 09

img_2056_2My baby is 17 today(written 2-27-09)!  Time sure flies by!

Jacob Andrew Larson is an amazingly talented guy…but I guess I am a bit biased!  He’s active in sports (soccer and track are his main focus) and he is also much involved in music, playing the string bass in the high school orchestra, electric bass in the youth praise band and sings in the choir and Austinaires (select show choir) and is a member of the MN All State Men’s Choir!

It has been so long since I have updated this blog, that I’m not sure if I should just start over….since I last wrote, I had surgery to reattach the hamstring tendons and have gone through rehab.  I have regained nearly all my mobility and flexibility, and just have a bit of soreness to deal with.

We have had so much happen in the last year….

WOW….I am going to try to be better at keeping up with this blog, along with all the other stuff of life.  I have started a Bible-reading blog, too.(Click on the link…)  Don’t let the word “blog” scare you!  It is just a website that has the capability for me to write daily updates, and anyone who would like can read it and make comments.

Pam

It’s already the end of JULY!

Well, the spring and summer have flown by, and here we are at the end of July already.  Sara graduated from Austin High School at the top of her class in June.  We had a wonderful family vacation up north, in Voyager’s National Park. I’ll try to post some pictures.  It was an awesome vacation!

After a few days at home doing some laundry, Matt weft to go back to Washington, DC and David left for a month in northern California doing some pole-vaulting.  Sara and Mom went back up north for a few days…our annual mother-daughter trip with friends.  Mom had a waterskiing accident, and ended up rupturing her hamstring tendon(s) and is now waiting to hear whether surgery is an option to help the recovery process.

On August 18, Sara will be competing in the Miss Austin pageant.  We’d love to have a large cheering section for her! Please come, and let us know if you’d like to stay overnight with us!  Sara will also be getting ready to move into Bethel University on August 30.  David will be movoing to Grand Forks, ND, to take Fall semester classes near Emma.  He will then return to Wheaton in the spring to compete in track and field.

Upcoming Events…

February 3 is the APDT Dance Show in Austin.  Shows are 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Seniors will be recognized and this is an awesome show!

February 4 is DAVID’s 20th birthday! WOW!  Also, Pam will be speaking at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Bloomington that day, about VVMI.  Incidentally, check out this great website: vvmi.org

February 10 is the dance SECTION tournament in Faribault.  This determines which three teams go on to the State Tournamnet.

IF the ADPT makes it, the STATE Tournament is Feb 16-17 at the Excel Center.  If they do NOT make it to State, Sara will be singing in the All-State Choir concert at Orchestra Hall on Saturday Feb 17.

February 27 is JACOB’s 15th birthday!

Looking ahead to MARCH:

1-AHS Winter Concert 7:00 pm (Sara)

6-AHS Prep Winter Concert 7:00 pm (Jacob)

20- Grandpa Jack’s birthday!

21- Sara leaves for San Antonio; Orchestra Trip

23- Jacob leaves for Washington, D.C.

I’ll put April and May events in later, but save MAY 27th for Sara’s GRADUATION OPEN HOUSE!
